Our Hospital
Each year, we provide essential medical care to about 5,900 individuals at little to no cost.
The vision to create a comprehensive medical center started in a small clinic in the Los Angeles community of Santo Domingo, where we served patients from diverse backgrounds seeking both physical and spiritual health.
With the Lord’s help, generous donations, and the tireless efforts of our doctors and staff, we opened our hospital after many years of dedicated work.
Thanks to our sponsorship program, students at our school also receive medical care at no cost when needed.

We are currently operating at the first level of medical care.
Our goals for the coming years include
- Fully equipping the second level of the hospital
- Enabling surgery rooms
- Providing hospitalization facilities
- Offering maternity care
We also aspire to become a reference center in the region.
And we are grateful for how far the Lord has brought us and trust that He, who began this good work, will bring it to completion.
Medical Brigades
Each month, Sociedad Lucas travels to ‘Bateyes,’ Haitian communities in extreme poverty in the Dominican Republic, to provide medical care that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Approximately 500 people are treated in each brigade by doctors from various specialties, both national and international, who offer their services with great dedication and love.
The regular visits of our medical brigades have significantly improved the overall health, both physical and spiritual, of these communities.
We praise God for that.
Disaster Relief
At Sociedad Lucas, we respond to disasters such as the Haiti earthquake, COVID-19, and island flooding by providing emergency care and relief to both Dominican and Haitian communities.
Our hospital and school also act as shelters during natural disasters. We’ve seen a rise in patients and schoolchildren needing support, including food from our breakfast program.
We offer community training in basic nursing, hygiene practices, and disease prevention. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels the love and care of Jesus, especially in times of crisis.
